Who is Blythe Angus?

We are just like you--family owned and operated. We raise cows and kids--and the kids help raise the cows! Debbie and Duane began their Angus operation in 1989, but the ranch was homesteaded by the Blythe family in 1890. We've gone through lots of changes and had to be creative from time to time, but the ranch is still going strong today.

Through the years we've sold our bulls through a sale and privately, and we find that we really enjoy selling cattle private treaty, so don't hesitate to give us a call to talk about cattle!

We have a registered Angus herd of about 200 cows and heifers that are good producers and are selected for their mothering ability, as well as their EPDs. Although we don't select for extreme outliers in any one trait, every once in awhile a calf is born that excels in one or more EPDs.  Currently, Blythes Objective 0316 E is having semen collected and we have semen available now! Our heifer development program is up and running with a beautiful set of spring heifers that will be available next fall. Debbie is planning to AI them for February 10th calves and then we'll take them to native grass pastures with low birth weight, calving ease bulls as clean up sires.
